England have won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022, defeating Pakistan by five wickets in a thrilling final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Chasing a target of 138, England reached their target with an over to spare, thanks to a brilliant half-century from Ben Stokes.
Pakistan had set a competitive total of 137/8, with Shan Masood top-scoring with 38. However, England's bowlers kept them in check, with Sam Curran taking 3/12 and Chris Jordan 2/27.
In reply, England lost early wickets but Stokes' 52 not out and Moeen Ali's 24 not out saw them home. Pakistan fought hard, but England held on to win their second T20 World Cup title.
